Crafting beautiful books is at the heart of everything that Reedsy does. We're changing the way books are published by giving independent authors and access to talented professionals, powerful tools, and free educational content.
We are currently looking for a diverse range of designers and illustrators to join our vetted community of freelance professionals. We welcome experts in any of the following:
As a designer on Reedsy, you will work directly with authors and be able to decide your rates, availability, and which projects to take on. You will be expected to understand your clients’ needs, advise them based on your knowledge of design trends in their genre, and design their book to the highest standards.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional design experience.
- A strong portfolio for the services you are applying for. Designs for books should be prioritised, and examples of comparable designs or illustrations (e.g. magazines or posters) might be considered if relevant.
- Knowledge of the publishing industry and design trends.
